We’re thrilled to announce that Cynical Technology has been approved for OpenAI’s Trusted Access Cyber Program. Designed exclusively for vetted cybersecurity organization, this program grants our authorized team access to OpenAI’s Daybreak Blue and their cyber-capable mainline models, empowering us to deliver even more advanced security work for our customers.
For our team, this is an opportunity to advance how we research, assess, and solve security problems. We have spent years conducting penetration tests and security audits across complex environments. Now we are investing in AI-assisted methods that can help our specialists analyze more deeply, connect findings across systems, and deliver clearer guidance on what to fix first.
We will evaluate Daybreak Blue within our security research and assessment workflows, including secure code review, penetration testing, threat modeling, vulnerability triage, analysis of attack paths, and remediation planning. This work will help us develop stronger methodologies for penetration testing projects.
AI can accelerate analysis, but the value of an assessment comes from sound judgment and verified evidence. Our security professionals will continue to define the scope, examine the results, validate findings, assess business impact, and recommend practical fixes. We are building AI into that expert-led process with the same care we apply to every engagement.
Cyber threats are growing more complex, and security assessments need to keep pace. Our investment in AI-assisted research is aimed at making our penetration testing and security advisory work more thorough, more focused, and more useful to the teams responsible for remediation.
This approval marks a new chapter in how we develops its security capabilities. We will keep testing our methods, learning from real findings, and bringing those improvements into the way we serve organizations that trust us with their security.
Alongside our commercial security practice, we are expanding our research through Presage Labs, a nonprofit initiative focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and digital resilience. Its work examines AI security and trust, AI for cyber defense, critical infrastructure, and the risks facing essential services.
Presage Labs gives us space to ask longer-term questions and test ideas with care. That research perspective helps us challenge assumptions in our day-to-day security work and contribute knowledge to the wider community.
If you are planning an assessment of an application, API, cloud environment, or critical infrastructure, start with a conversation about your scope and priorities. Tell us what you need tested and when. We will work with you to define the assessment approach and deliverables.
